2021 Spring Virtual Concert Series
Having received critical acclaim for our 2020 Fall Virtual Concert Series, filmed and produced by Santa Fe’s Hutton Broadcasting, The Santa Fe Symphony is excited to confirm the launch of its Spring 2021 Virtual Concert Series, which will again be filmed by Hutton and released in March of 2021. Producing these high-definition films, shot with multiple cameras and drones, has resulted in extraordinary hour-long concerts that highlight not only the phenomenal talent of The Symphony’s musicians, but the dramatic Santa Fe landscapes and impressive historical architecture that serve as the series’ venues. Symphony ensembles performed in safe environments, following CDC and state guidelines, at some of the most stunning locations in the state of New Mexico: Ghost Ranch, Thornburg Investments’ Rooftop, Santa Fe Children’s Museum, Santa Fe Botanical Garden, and the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi.
The School for Advanced Research dedicates itself to the anthropology of the Southwest, as well as the work of Native American artists and writers. Its Indian Arts Research Collection is considered to be one of the most remarkable assemblages of Southwestern Native American art and artifacts in the world, with more than 12,000 items. Its beautiful campus, located on the former estate of Martha Root White and Amelia Elizabeth White, houses a variety of programs, including research initiatives, residential fellowships, and a wide range of public seminars and classes.
This concert will premiere Sunday, May 30th at 4 pm but will be available to view through June 30th.
