Enjoy the angelic voices of The Symphony Chorus, led by Choral Director Carmen Florez-Mansi. Sing along with us to some of the most beloved Christmas carols of all time—accompanied by the glorious sounds of The Symphony Brass & Organ.
This annual performance at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi is The Symphony’s gift to the Santa Fe community during the holiday season! No tickets are required, all ages are welcome, and the doors open at 6:15 pm.
Of Note
Santa Fe’s Cathedral Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi was built between 1869 and 1886 on the site of two former churches: La Parroquia, built in 1717, and an older church built in 1626.
In the 13th Century, St. Francis himself was instrumental (pardon the pun) in developing a tradition of singing popular Christmas hymns in regional languages and dialects in Italy—a tradition which quickly spread to France, Germany, and other parts of Europe.
