Juan Siddi Arte Flamenco Society

Artistic Director, Juan Siddi, of Juan Siddi Arte Flamenco Society, has been described in the Santa Fe New Mexican as “a bundle of beautiful energy tempered by technique and taste.” His high-profile presence in Santa Fe, where he teaches, choreographs and performs, garnered him the Mayor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts in 2011. Born and raised in Frankfurt, Germany of mixed heritage (Italian father, Spanish mother), Juan was immersed early in the culture of flamenco whose sonorous music he heard at home. His influential teachers were Rebeca Carmona (Darmstadt) and la Tani (Barcelona). After debuting at the age of nine, six years later Juan was a soloist in tablaos, memorably at Al Andalus, Frankfurt’s important flamenco center. Learn more …
