Join us as we celebrate those who served our country with a FREE concert at the Cathedral Basilica!
Led by Choral Director Carmen Flórez-Mansi, this evening of uplifting music includes On This Day by Charles Strouse, arranged by Mac Huff, featuring The Santa Fe Symphony Chorus; Orpheus Singing for Oboe and String Quartet by Virko Baley with principal oboist soloist Elaine Heltman and The Santa Fe Symphony String Quartet; Minuet and Dance of the Blessed Spirits from Christopher Willibald Gluck’s renowned opera, Orfeo ed Euridicearranged by Mike Magatagan for String Quartet and Flute; Lux Aeterna by Morten Lauridsen featuring The Santa Fe Symphony Chorus and Chamber Ensemble; and God Bless America by Irving Berlin, arranged by Keith Christopher, featuring the full Santa Fe Symphony Chorus. Doors open at 6:15 PM.

Carmen Flórez-Mansi

Carmen Flórez-Mansi, a native of New Mexico, currently serves as the Pastoral Associate for Music at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi. Since 1989, she has performed as a vocal artist, choral conductor, vocal instructor and liturgy specialist throughout the Southwest, including solo appearances with the Santa Fe Desert Chorale and The Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra & Chorus. Carmen is also the Director of the St. Michael’s High School Choral Arts Society, which she founded in 2014.
