Curtis Mark was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota; he attended St. Cloud State College, where he studied fine art history, then studied specialty printing at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Curtis was inspired to move to New Mexico after his car was towed in the middle of winter. His first concert working for a symphony orchestra was with Pavarotti and the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra. He has also recently worked as stage manager for the New Mexico Symphonic Chorus, Albuquerque Philharmonic Orchestra, and Chamber Music Albuquerque, as well as with Festival Ballet, Opera Southwest, Chatter Albuquerque, and AMP Concerts. Curtis, an avid outdoors-man, passionate gardener and lover of the arts, volunteers with various community organizations and is on the board of directors for Good Shepherd Homeless Shelter.
