Pamela Washburn DeLisse found her voice through the cello at the age of five. Much of her early life was spent rehearsing and performing with the family piano quartet. The Bachelor of Music program at the College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati was pursued on a full scholarship, with studies under the LaSalle Quartet. Additional master teachers were the Julliard Quartet, Lazlo Varga, and Lev Aronson. Her professional career began as a member of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and she performed one season in a temporary position with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.
Pamela has held principal cello positions in the Dallas Spring Opera and the Fort Worth Opera, in addition to being a member of the Dallas Opera Orchestra for many years. She performed for many seasons as a member of the Dallas Renaissance String Quartet and the Primavera String Trio, which both gave regular series of concerts. She is currently a member of The Santa Fe Symphony, has performed in various chamber music ensembles in New Mexico, and maintains a full studio of cello students.
Through her lifetime interest in natural health, Pamela started a holistic health coaching business after training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Her business is “Health Radiance,” and Pamela is passionately involved with it along with her love of cello.
