Teresa Pierce has been a Director of the Board of The Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus since 2011. Because her father was a career US Air Force member, she grew up in many places in the United States and Europe. After earning her degree at the University of Northern Colorado, she pursued a career in the Financial Industry. She and her husband Mort Morrison opened their own brokerage firm in 1974 in Los Angeles, CA, where they became very well known because of their daily broadcast of financial news on the then sole business channel in Los Angeles, which continued for fourteen years.
Teresa is a Senior Vice President, Wealth Advisor, Certified Financial Planner, and founder of The Pierce Group at Morgan Stanley in Beverly Hills. She has been with Morgan Stanley for the last twenty-eight years. Teresa has special expertise in strategic investment planning and asset coordination. Her specialized knowledge and long-term experience in guiding clients through complicated financial situations and volatile financial markets has enabled her and her team to provide their clients with personalized solutions to complex financial needs. The understanding of risk analysis, coupled with an assessment of a client’s risk tolerance, enables the Pierce Group to tailor clients’ investment portfolios to adjust to ever-changing market conditions.
She & Mort have lived in Santa Fe since 1991. They travel extensively, but their favorite place is Santa Fe. Teresa is an avid skier, scuba diver, and prolific reader, and enjoys playing the piano. Teresa is also the Treasurer for El Rancho de Las Golondrinas, a living history museum in Santa Fe.
