Rachelle Elbert, Alto
Alto Rachelle Elbert may not be a New Mexico native, but she got here as soon as she could. Currently in her first year with The Santa Fe Symphony Chorus, Rachelle moved to the state in the spring of 2024. She holds a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts degree in Music, Dance, and Theater from Brigham Young University. She was a member of the BYU Young Ambassadors and the Concert Choir while on campus in Salt Lake, but her time on the stage includes so much more than singing recitals and concert music. She performed in many regional musical theatre productions and considers playing Millie in a Milwaukee production of Thoroughly Modern Millie as the highlight of career … so far.
As a new resident to the city, Rachelle is having the time of her life exploring sunny New Mexico, especially after having lived in considerably colder cities, such as Milwaukee, Salt Lake, and Denver. Her day job is “in the jewelry biz,” but in her spare time, she enjoys yoga, hiking, mountain biking, thrifting … and of course, singing.
