The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum hosts Family Day on the second Sunday of every month. This event aims to bring the community together through hands-on artmaking, storytelling, and creative activities, as well as encouraging kids and families to take a new approach in looking at and interacting with art!
Family Day is a free event offered in partnership with the Santa Fe Children’s Museum and Santa Fe Public Libraries.
Museum admission is free all day for New Mexico residents and Family Day participants.
Family Day is offered in partnership with the Santa Fe Children’s Museum and Santa Fe Public Libraries. The Santa Fe Symphony’s Education & Community Department welcomes all of its students and their families to attend this event.

Los Alamos Summer Concert Series

The Los Alamos Summer Concert Series is a non-ticketed, family friendly, FREE community concert series, complete with food court, games, and beer garden. The event is held every Friday from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Billed as the “Best Free Summer Concert Series in New Mexico,” the event is sponsored by Sancre Productions and City of Los Alamos Recreation Division.
Our students are the opening act for Nick Parr and the Selfless Lovers, 7 pm.
The Selfless Lovers are a piano-driven rock n’ roll band from Austin, Texas. The group’s original music draws on classic rock, soul, blues and southern rock influences. The Selfless Lovers are a must-see live act; showcasing an energized retro sound, fantastic musicianship and danceable original songs. The band’s singer even plays saxophone and piano at the same time during the set. The Selfless Lovers have actively toured Texas since 2018, and play close to one hundred and fifty live performances per year.

The Los Alamos Summer Concert Series draws a large audience every weekend. Parents and friends of our performers should plan to arrive early to avoid parking delays. Logistical information will be given to students in the weeks leading up to the performance.

Lumbre Del Sol is a Latin-Rock group from Santa Fe, New Mexico. Lumbre Del Sol music represents the diverse cultural influences, and experiences of the people of New Mexico, USA. Formed in 1973 by founding member Chris Abeyta after serving in the US Navy, his musical dream was fulfilled. The band continues to entertain audiences with high energy, family oriented performances throughout New Mexico and the southwest. Influenced by the music of Santana, El Chicano, Little Joe y La Familia, The Beatles , and Stevie Wonder (just to name a few), the band gets its true inspiration from their roots in Santa Fe . The current members of Lumbre Del Sol, Amado Abeyta , Buddy Abeyta , David “The Duke” Vigil, Steve Maestas, Bobby Perea, and Joe Wheeler are proud to carry on the musical dream, family tradition and will keep the fire burning.
