Colleen Kelly, Alto

Colleen Kelly is starting her sixth season with the Santa Fe Symphony Chorus in 2024 and wishes she had joined upon arriving in Santa Fe in 1994. A native of Chicago, she has a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Journalism from MacMurray College, and a Master of Arts in Community Arts Management from the University of Illinois-Springfield.

She serves as Senior Director, Advancement and Communications for the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum and is overseeing a $75 million capital campaign to build a new museum campus.  Colleen has more than 30 years of fundraising experience with cultural institutions, including long tenures as Chief Development Officer at the McNay Art Museum (San Antonio), and Director of Development at the Museum of New Mexico Foundation.

Past musical experience includes performing with the May Festival Chorus (official chorus of the Cincinnati Symphony) and its smaller chorale ensemble and as a soloist with the Springfield Oratorio Society, Springfield Theatre Centre and Muni Opera with lead roles in Evita, Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris and The Robber Bridegroom.

Outside of work, she is a longtime enthusiast of group fitness classes, an avid reader and hiker, and aspires to travel much more.
