must include at least one ticket
for a child under 18.

Experience the magic of opera with The Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra & Chorus in a fun, 45-minute family concert featuring familiar favorites, a lively narrator, and audience participation. This relaxed performance welcomes children under 18 and their families. Feel free to move, dance, or make joyful sounds!

10:30 AM – Family-friendly activities & instrument petting zoo in the lobby
11 AM – Performance begins

The runtime is approximately 45 minutes with no intermission.

The performance will last approximately 45 minutes with no intermission.

House lights will remain partially on during the performance.

A family-friendly narrator will guide the audience through the performance by explaining the elements of the concert before they happen.

Audience members may leave and re-enter the theater as needed.

The performance will have a relaxed atmosphere and will be noticeably different from a typical Santa Fe Symphony concert.

The overall noise level will be loud at times, sometimes unexpected, but the narrator will prepare the audience in advance.

There will be opportunities for audience participation, if desired.

All energy levels – babies, toddlers, young children are welcome!

Families and children who would enjoy a more interactive concert experience

Audience members who may not be able to sit in their seat for the entire performance

Families who may need to leave and re-enter the theater during the performance

Children may make noise or need to move around during the concert

Families and children who might not normally feel comfortable attending a classical music performance – this one is especially for you!
