Melinda J Mack, a native of Pennsylvania, started her cello studies at age nine. She was a member of the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra and joined them on an exciting summer tour of Jordan, Israel, and Spain.

Melinda has received her Bachelor of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music where she was a student of Ardyth Alton and her Master of Music degree from UNM where she received the Abraham Franck assistantship. She is currently a member of both The Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra and Fresno Philharmonic in California. Since living in New Mexico, Melinda has performed with various ensembles including Santa Fe Pro Musica, Opera Southwest, New Mexico Philharmonic, Performance Santa Fe Orchestra, Canticum Novum, and Sangre de Cristo Chorale. During past summers, she has attended both the Tanglewood and Killington Music Festivals.

When not playing the cello, Melinda enjoys fitness. Melinda’s diverse routine includes hiking, boxing, yoga, barre, and kettlebells.
