Today’s world is a strange one. Santa Fe’s famous Plaza is deserted; bustling Canyon Road has fallen silent; and The Lensic Performing Arts Center sits empty. We cannot connect as readily as we once did. The future, at times, seems bleak. Nevertheless, we have hope. Here at The Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra & Chorus, we still strive to provide inspiration daily. Our Music Mentors continue their educational efforts in our schools, teaching lessons remotely instead of in-person. Our musicians perform online now, connecting with audiences through Facebook and Zoom rather than in the concert hall. And we plan tirelessly for our most exciting season yet, filled with dynamic community partnerships, an emphasis on diversity, representation of female and minority composers, and programming that is culturally relevant to Santa Fe and its artistic legacy.

The Symphony also believes in supporting its artists during this time. Already disbursing more than $20,000 in emergency relief aid to its musicians within the first weeks of the crisis, The Symphony has now publicly committed to paying its musicians and guest artists for cancelled services, recognizing that, without them, it cannot fulfill its mission in our community. But we cannot do it alone—we need your help. We are thrilled to announce a matching challenge fund, made possible by the generosity of the following sponsors.
