Born and raised in Santa Fe, Carlos Andres Vázquez Baur began his musical journey with the Cathedral Basilica choirs and marimba band, singing in multiple masses and large events including the 400th Anniversary Mass and at Carnegie Hall, and starred in staged productions with Pandemonium Productions from 2004 until 2013. He was a member of the Gonzaga University Concert and Chamber choirs and the Gonzaga University theater department. Since finishing school, Carlos has worked in the information technology space and as a full time software engineer and has performed in Tri-M’s productions of Broadway Bites, Godspell, Spring Awakening, and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, is a member of The Santa Fe Symphony Chorus’ chamber chorus and sings with the St. Francis Cathedral Basilica Choir’s chorus Vox Anima. Carlos owes all of his musical success to those in his life that didn’t let him give it up, but owes a special debt to his late friend Enrique Roybal who kept him in music throughout his young adult life.
