As with anything of enduring value, The Symphony’s continuing success is built upon extraordinary talent, visionary leadership and the generosity of loyal supporters. If one of our fine art galleries were to close, it would certainly be missed, but can you even imagine Santa Fe without The Opera or The Symphony? That is why our supporters contribute to our endowment fund, managed by The Foundation for The Santa Fe Symphony.
This fund serves the present and future needs of The Symphony by contributing annually, from the endowment’s earnings, to the operating budget. Customarily, five percent of the value of the endowment is granted to the Symphony’s budget each year. Currently, this amounts to approximately 10% of The Symphony’s yearly financial requirement.
This source of operational funding is very important to the day-to-day programming of The Symphony, including our outreach to students and senior citizens, each year’s free Christmas and Memorial Day concerts at the Cathedral Basilica, and wider community engagement. Now standing at $2.1 million dollars, we are committed to seeing the endowment grow to the three million dollar level and beyond!
We hope that you will keep The Foundation for The Santa Fe Symphony in your giving plans, either through bequests as members of The Ovation Society, through planned gifts and pledges, or gifts of real estate or art. We have professional financial gift planning advice available, and we are happy to meet with you to discuss such a gift for posterity. From modest gifts to donations naming a chair in the orchestra, every dollar helps The Foundation to ensure that The Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra & Chorus brings great music to life for generations to come.
Donors to The Foundation will be acknowledged in The Symphony’s Program Book in perpetuity. Please contact Foundation Administrator Maura Goodin at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Together we can make it all happen!
The Foundation works to protect the future of The Symphony through prudent management and investment of our endowment funds. Through the generosity of our loyal friends and supporters, we ensure the long-term viability of one of Santa Fe's most important cultural treasures.
