2026-2027 Afterschool Ensembles
Our afterschool ensembles offer opportunities for musical development, achievement, and enjoyment for children in Kindergarten until 12th grade.
Levels Offered – Beginner, Intermediate, & Advanced
Class Length – 45-90 mins per week on average, based on student age and level
Rehearsals – Ensembles rehearse in Santa Fe and Los Alamos
Performances – Two times per year minimum for ensembles for Kindergarten and older; based on student age and level

*Subject to change. Individual ensembles and ensemble directors may deviate slightly from this schedule per their discretion. Families will be notified in advance of any changes or cancellations.
Registration
All registrations require a $35 registration fee per student, per program.
Students who sign up for more than one program will receive a 30% discount on their second registration.
Families enrolling multiple children will receive a 10% discount for each additional sibling after the first registration.
Tuition
All tuition fees listed below are for the 2026-2027 school year and cover Fall and Spring semester participation.
All families are encouraged to fill out a financial aid application if tuition and fee costs are prohibitive to participation. We believe all students should have access to high-quality music education! If you have any questions, please reach out to Grace Davis at gdavis@santafesymphony.org.
Elementary Violin I – $525
Beginner Violin Class for students kindergarten-3rd grade
No experience needed. No audition required.
Elementary Violin II – $525
Beginner Violin Class for students 1st-3rd grade
At least 1 semester. No audition required.
Elementary Violin Ensemble – $550
Beginner Violin Ensemble for students 1st-3rd grade
Some experience needed. Teacher approval required.
Running Start Beginning Orchestra – $525
Beginner String Class for students 4th-8th grade,
No experience needed. No audition required.
Prelude String Orchestra – $650
Beginner/Intermediate String Orchestra for students 4th grade & older
At least 1-3 years experience. Audition required.
Intermezzo String Orchestra – $650
Intermediate String Ensemble for students 5th grade & older
At least 3-4 years experience. Audition required.
Youth Philharmonic – $780 (includes retreat)
Intermediate Symphony Orchestra for students 6th grade & older
At least 3-4 years experience. Audition required.
Youth Symphony Orchestra – $800 (includes retreat)
Advanced Symphony Orchestra for students 9th grade & older
At least 3-4 years experience. Audition required.
Beginner Mariachi – $550
Beginners Mariachi Ensemble for students 2nd-6th grade.
1 year of experience. No audition required.
Mariachi Citlali – $650
Intermediate Mariachi Ensemble for elementary & middle school students.
2 years of experience required. Audition required.
Mariachi Estrella – $800
Advanced Mariachi Ensemble with community performance opportunities.
3 years of experience required. Audition required.
Jazz Project | Santa Fe – $650
Intermediate Jazz Combos for students learning to play in jazz groups
At least 2-3 years experience. Audition required.
Jazz Project | Los Alamos – $650

Quemazón Jazz Combo | Los Alamos – $800
